The fashion industry is one that can influence us, mold our perspective, accommodate modern society. Always changing to make the modern business man or woman. It is an absolute marketing beast, do we follow it or does it follow us? In short our demand fuels the need for a new image and new way to express ourselves. My early twenties are filled of uncertainty and ciaos, but I don’t have to look that way. Getting dressed i realized that my resent red lipstick, black pumps, plaid pants and knitted sweater was all masterfully masking the total uncertainty of my life. As new designers emerge with the best trends, i know it is an industry as ever changing as I am. With the only certainty being that my idea of elegance and necessity will change, but isn’t that the nature of the beast and life? This aspect of consumerism and individual growth that allows us to market ourselves and separate us from the masses. I know I am not stopping reading my favorite magazenes and blogs while shifting though street style, adapting ideas and redefining myself. The fashion industry truly embodies marketing. From power pants to a skirt or even a Chanel bag, we all just want to portrays an image of what we want to be. Are you like I am? Hungry for what we could be or want to be, and try our hardest to appear that way.
